Designing is the key to getting maximum unit generation and hence, Comuti provides unique and innovative designs based on the site geography and site conditions, said Phani Kumar Tadigadapa, CEO & Founder, Comuti Energy, in an interaction with Energetica India.
Que: Can you elaborate on Comuti Energy’s mission to electrify households in India through solar energy?
Ans: Comuti Energy is founded in the year 2018 with a mission to electrify households in India by providing them with end-to-end turnkey rooftop solar solutions. Comuti being a registered vendor with PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, we are entitled to pass on the central government subsidy to the residential households.
Comuti is always committed to maximising rooftop solar footprint across India and we are currently operating in the majority of the states in India. We provide solar solutions starting from site surveys, rooftop solar designs, and selecting suitable solar modules and inverters as per customer needs. We provide innovative designs for structural requirements as per site conditions. We have a strong in-house design team to cater to all the design needs. Our experienced installation teams take all required precautions at the site to execute rooftop projects successfully. With a vast solar experience of about 50+ man years, we provide best-in-class services for all sectors.
Que: Comuti Energy offers end-to-end EPC solutions. Could you explain how you ensure the seamless integration of design, engineering, and construction across diverse projects?
Ans: Comuti Energy has dedicated qualified engineers. Our in-house design team handholds the customer from the site survey to solar project integration with the grid. We take up turnkey solar projects starting from site survey, design, engineering, procurement, and construction. Being an experienced EPC player, we work transparently to make customers understand challenges and provide best-in-class services. We work with various DISCOMS very closely to get all required approvals during the solar integration process. This way, customers are immune from interacting with government bodies for approvals. Comuti has several years of experience in handling several kW up to MW scale projects across India.
Que: What differentiates Comuti Energy from other turnkey EPC providers in India’s PV solar industry?
Ans: Comuti has all required qualified engineers in-house for solar EPC and turnkey projects. We follow all the required documentation processes and the same will be filed according to government requirements. Starting from site survey till grid integration all the team members are in-house and the project is handled seamlessly.
Apart from grid-connected projects we also provide off-grid solutions, hybrid solutions, and small & large-scale BESS solutions. Comuti has an in-house lithium battery pack assembly unit. Our facility is ISO-certified and CPCB certified. We manufacture lithium batteries for EVs and energy storage applications. We also provide solar street lights, solar fencing, and solar pumps. This way, we cater to all the solutions and services in the solar and renewable energy industry.
Que: You provide customised solar systems for industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential consumers. How do your solutions vary depending on the sector?
Ans: Each customer and each sector is a unique project for us in rooftop and ground mount solar projects. Designing is the key to getting maximum unit generation. Hence, based on the site geography and site conditions, we provide unique and innovative designs. All the designs are done in-house for better understanding and providing better solutions and support.
Comuti being a solar EPC player, works with several qualified module and inverter manufacturers. This way, we have a high flexibility in choosing the best possible component for every project. Our first choice is always with the customer. Comuti’s procurement and handling process aligns with the customer’s thoughts and recommendations. Our highly qualified team is capable of handling any kind of solar turnkey project across India.
Que: With operations across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka, how has Comuti Energy adapted its strategies to cater to region-specific solar needs?
Ans: Comuti’s presence, majorly catered today in Southern states, is slowly expanding across India. We have a vision to expand globally in the coming months.
We study the demographics of each region before entering into that region. We always employ local talent to understand the language and strengths of that region. We work very closely with various state government bodies to seamlessly support and integrate solar projects.
Que: What are your future goals in terms of geographic expansion or new service offerings?
Ans: Comuti has the vision to enter into large-scale utility projects under the RESCO and IPP model. We also are trying to come up with a large-scale BESS solution for utility-scale projects.
We have a roadmap for working with government bodies, to provide micro-grid projects which has our battery packs. We want to integrate IoT-based remote management and asset management for all our future BESS projects.
