Record-Breaking Car Sales: A Milestone Year

A remarkable 15,721 vehicles under the BMW and MINI brands were delivered by BMW Group India in 2024. The BMW brand, which produced 15,012 units, and MINI, which produced a respectable 709 units, were the main drivers of this incredible accomplishment. The company’s peak sales occurred during the October–December period, when 4,958 units were sold, representing a 15% increase over the same quarter the year before. In particular, December 2024 was an exceptional month, with 2,244 units sold, the greatest monthly sales ever recorded and an astounding 17% year-over-year increase.

Luxury Class Takes the Spotlight

BMW’s Luxury Class offerings, including the BMW 7 Series, BMW i7, BMW X7, and BMW XM, emerged as showstoppers in 2024. These premium models collectively sold 2,507 units, contributing nearly 20% to the company’s total car sales. The BMW X7, in particular, retained its crown as the highest-selling Luxury Class model, with over 5,000 units delivered since its launch. This exceptional performance underscores BMW’s dominance in the ultra-luxury segment, catering to a discerning clientele seeking unparalleled sophistication and performance.

Delivering 8,301 motorcycles in 2024 was the most successful year in the history of BMW Motorrad, the motorcycle division of the BMW Group. With 1,041 sold, the brand’s fully developed bike offering also reached new heights. This increase in demand is a result of BMW Motorrad’s attraction to Indian adventure and high-end bikers, which broadens the group’s product line.
