IIT Delhi unveils certificate programmes in finance, supply chain, and tech
In response to the growing demand for specialised skills across key sectors, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has unveiled three new certificate programs under its Continuing Education Programme (CEP) in collaboration with TeamLease Edtech.
The programmes, including the Chief Financial Officer Programme, the Executive Management Programme in Supply Chain and Operations Analytics, and the Executive Programme in Semiconductor Manufacturing and Technology, aim to bridge significant skill gaps in industries that are crucial to India’s future growth.
INDUSTRY TRENDS DRIVING NEED FOR ADVANCED SKILLS
Industry trends indicate a need for these programmes. According to PwC, 77 percent of companies prioritise enhancing supply chain resilience, while EY emphasises that CFOs are expected to spearhead digital transformation and business value creation. Additionally, the Indian government’s dollar 10 investment in the semiconductor sector underscores the sector’s importance to India’s economic advancement.
PROGRAMMES FOCUSED ON STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP AND TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
The Chief Financial Officer Programme, led by Professor Shveta Singh, Chair of Finance at IIT Delhi, will focus on strategic leadership in finance, equipping participants with skills in financial strategy, risk management, and digital transformation. The program will also include hands-on projects to help professionals navigate the complexities of modern finance.
The Executive Management Programme in Supply Chain and Operations Analytics, coordinated by Professor Gourav Dwivedi, Assistant Professor at IIT Delhi, is designed to prepare participants to address real-world supply chain challenges.
Professor Manav Bhatnagar, Head of CEP/QIP/TEQIP at IIT Delhi, emphasised, “These programs are tailored to foster innovation and leadership, empowering professionals to meet the evolving demands of their industries. We aim to equip them with the skills necessary to drive India’s growth in finance, supply chain, and semiconductor technology.”
Shantanu Rooj, Founder and CEO of TeamLease EdTech, added, “We are proud to partner with IIT Delhi to offer these transformative programs. Together, we are bridging skill gaps in critical sectors, driving innovation, and contributing to India’s leadership in the global marketplace.”
The programme will combine academic rigour with industry insights, equipping learners with data-driven strategies to enhance global supply chain agility.
The Executive Programme in Semiconductor Manufacturing and Technology, led by Professor Awanish Pandey, Assistant Professor at IIT Delhi, will provide participants with essential skills in semiconductor fabrication, positioning them to contribute to India’s expanding semiconductor sector. With the global semiconductor market projected to reach dollar 1 trillion by 2030, this program will enable professionals to stay ahead in the industry.
The programmes will be delivered through live, interactive online sessions in a Direct-to-Device (D2D) format, incorporating real-world case studies and assignments. Additionally, participants in the Chief Financial Officer Programme and the Executive Programme in Semiconductor Manufacturing will benefit from a unique two-day campus immersion at IIT Delhi, offering them an opportunity to engage with the institution’s distinguished academic and research community.
