Hyundai Motor India begins production of passenger vehicle engines at Talegaon plant

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has officially commenced the production of passenger vehicle engines at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Talegaon, Maharashtra. The plant, situated at Plot No. A-16, MIDC, Talegaon Industrial Area, Phase-II Expansion, Tehsil-Maval, Dist. Pune – 410507, marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion strategy.

This strategic move underscores Hyundai’s commitment to strengthening its manufacturing footprint in India and supporting the growing demand for its vehicles. The engine production at the Talegaon plant begins today, June 16, 2025.

The company stated that further communication regarding the commencement of passenger vehicle production at the Talegaon facility will be announced in due course.

Hyundai Motor India Q4 Results

Hyundai Motor India Ltd reported a 3.7% year-on-year (YoY) decline in its consolidated net profit at ₹1,614.3 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025. The company had posted a net profit of ₹1,677 crore in the same period last year.

This decline in profit occurred despite a rise in revenue and stable operational performance.

Revenue for the March 2025 quarter increased 1.5% YoY to ₹17,940 crore, compared to ₹17,671 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) rose marginally by 0.4% YoY to ₹2,532.3 crore from ₹2,521.7 crore. The EBITDA margin stood at 14.1%, slightly lower than the 14.3% reported a year earlier.
